Client Advisory Panel

Client Advisory Panel

Accessing the Advisory Panel

The Advisory Panel is located in the Client Admin screen and can accessed via the Personal Details tab in Fact Find.

It can be accessed by expanding Client Admin Screen (as highlighted in the above screenshot)

Functionality of Advisory Panel

The Advisory Panel can be used for two purposes.

The functionality allows users to add the details of other professionals that provide supporting services to the client (such as Paraplanner, Primary accountant, etc).

In addition to this, the Advisory Panel allows users to restrict access (if required) to the client by members on the advisory panel.

Assigning users to roles for a client

  1. Each client group can have a number of roles on the advisory panel
  2. These roles can be used for reporting purposes and to let other users know who is ‘looking after’ the client and under what capacity
  3. A role (accept for grant access) can only be applied once i.e. a client can only have one paraplanner or one accountant
  4. A user can fulfil many different roles – i.e. a user can be both a Paraplanner and a lending adviser
  5. Please note that although the client’s adviser does not appear on the list they are automatically considered part of the advisory panel.

Below are the steps involved in adding a professional to a client’s Advisory Panel.

1. Select the user you would like to add to the advisory panel

2. Click the Add button

3. Select the Role the user performs

4. They will be added to the Panel

5. Add all relevant users to the panel.

  1. Restricting access

Users should note the following when using the Restrict access functionality:
  1. If you tick the ‘Restrict access to advisory panel’ check box – the client will only be able to be accessed by the client’s adviser and the users on the advisory panel
  2. Access to clients is controlled through user and office permissions. To access a client you must first have permission to view the user or the office
  3. Advisers may have some special clients (staff or celebrities/HNW etc.) that belong to a user or an office, but will need to be restricted to certain users
  4. If the client has had restricted access applied and the user is not on the advisory list they will not be able to view, search, report on or access the client (or group)
  5. If the client is part of a couple then both individual clients will be restricted in the same manner
  6. Note that if you are a practice manager user you will be able to view, search, report and access the client.

To Restrict access to members of the advisory panel:

1. Click the Restrict access to advisory panel user’s check box.

2. You will receive a confirmation box. Click Yes.
