Settings

Introduction

The Settings Menu is where you should begin with Cashflow & Capital. It contains the basic information on your client and allows you to make changes to the settings used, determine significant dates for the scenarios that you wish to model, include any relevant entities and create a number of different scenarios.

There are a few key areas to review within the Settings page
  1. Scenario manager
  2. The general settings
  3. Additional settings
  4. Optional strategies to be included in the modelling
Below we will go into further detail of how each of these areas can help with setting up your cashflow and capital modelling.

Additional to these key areas, the settings page also allows you to review details of your clients (birthdate/age), and some relevant high level analytics of the scenario you have created in the bottom right corner.
In the top right you can also choose to 'Create Report' for a summary of your scenarios. Further reports are also available at the end of the C&C module.

1. Scenario Manager and Action Icon

The scenario manager is where you can view all different scenarios that have been created and navigate between each of these. All future pages of Cashflow & Capital will be dependent on the scenario you have highlighted here.

Within the scenario manager you can do a number of things:
  1. You can create new scenarios and view archived scenarios using the buttons on the far right
  2. You can Lock specific scenarios - this ensures that no changes can be made any point in the future until you manually choose to unlock this scenario
  3. You can also select which scenario you wish to be the Existing, and which is the Recommended. This is relevant when putting together the advice document.

Action Icon

This icon allows you to perform a number of actions.
  1. First and foremost, it provides you the ability to update your clients information from Fact Find. This is an ideal place to start to ensure that all the information you have submitted within Fact Find will be visibile within the modelling. If you select this, another pop up will appear where you can then decide what information you would either like to update or import. You can untick those you do not wish to include.
  2. You can create duplicate scenarios. For example, if you've made a number of recommendations however wish to compare this scenario with a second scenario with only minor differences, you can clone the first and make the necessary changes within the second scenario
  3. You have the ability to archive any scenario you no longer wish to review. These can be un-archived from the 'Archived Scenarios' button on the settings page
  4. You can delete a scenario you no longer need
  5. You can view any SoAs that have been generated that included information from this modelling.

2. General Settings

This section allows you to:
  1. Determine the projection start date and to what age you want the projections to continue till
  2. Manually include any additional entities, beneficiaries or shareholders you may want within the modelling

3. Additional Settings

Note - while the General Settings are relevant to all scenarios, the Settings in this section are specific to the individual scenario you have selected. So for example, you could create Scenario 1 where the clients retire at age 60, and Scenario 2 where the clients retire 5 years later at age 65.

These settings allow you to modify the following:
  1. The retirement date of both clients, and the determined age at retirement
  2. Whether the client had any capital losses to carry forward

4. Optional Strategies

This section allows you to add any additional strategies you may be interested in.
  1. Importantly; whether you wish to include optional strategies for Centrelink or Gearing - when these are ticked you will notice additional INPUT pages for both of these
  2. The ability to include any Entities that are within the clients Fact Find. Similar to the above point, a new section will appear on the left side of your C&C

Resetting Cashflow & Capital

If you wish to reset your scenarios for a particular client, this must be done from a different location within AdviceOS.

You need to navigate to Client > Fact Find > Personal Details and locate the Client Admin button on the far right of the page.

Here you will see a 'Reset cashflow and capital' button that will remove all inputs within C&C so that you are able to start again.

Note that resetting C&C will permanently delete all current scenarios. They will no longer be available anywhere on AOS. No other locations within AOS will be impacted, however ensure you are okay to lose this data before continuing. The alternative is to archive the scenarios you no longer wish to have available as these can be unarchived at a later date.
